Associate Editor, Marketing (Tempt to Hire)
Position Summary Associate Editor (Remote) — IG Living and BioSupply Trends Quarterly Magazines FFF Enterprises Inc. is seeking an experienced associate editor for its bi-monthly IG Living (ww.igliving.com) and quarterly BioSupply Trends Quarterly (www.bstquarterly.com) magazines. This full-time remote position reports directly to the magazines’ senior editor-in-chief.
About the Magazines
IG Living magazine is the only source for the immune globulin (IG) community comprised of primary immunodeficiency, autoimmune, neurological and other disease patients treated with IG therapy and their caregivers. Each issue features IG treatment and options, immune and autoimmune disease updates, patient profiles, adult and teen perspectives, Q&A and more!
BioSupply Trends Quarterly (BSTQ) magazine is the definitive source for industry trends, news and information for the biopharmaceutical marketplace. With timely and critical information, each themed issue covers topics ranging from disease indications, product breakthroughs, industry insights and innovations, up-to-the-minute news on the latest clinical trials, accessibility, service and safety concerns and in-depth profiles.
Responsibilities:
• Editing and proofing all magazine content
• Editing articles for clarity, accuracy, readability, content, style and grammar
• Writing objective and accurate news, columns and feature articles
• Performing research and fact-checking on topics for the magazines
• Assisting with magazine page layout proofing, including copy, art and advertisements
• Participating in the planning of the yearly editorial calendars
• Writing original articles for the websites and social media sites as needed
• Posting issue articles to the magazine websites
• Some travel to department meetings and trade shows
• Strong writing, editing and research skills
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks with very little supervision and the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently while also able to operate efficiently in a team dynamic
• Solid grasp of the rules of grammar, spelling, punctuation and AP style
Qualifications: Desired qualities and experience include strong organization and written and oral communication skills, previous magazine or newspaper editing and writing experience. Experience with the medical profession is a plus.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or communications with a minimum of five years of editorial proofing and editing experience, knowledge of AP style and experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat.

- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or communications
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style
Required Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of editorial proofreading and/or writing experience
- Portfolio of previous work that demonstrates professional writing, editing and proofing skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word and electronic publishing software such as Adobe InDesign

Physical requirements Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts up to 20 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Must have the ability to travel occasionally. Working condition include normal office setting.
