Scriptwriter Bodycam Channel | Doventra Production -$100-$400 Per Project

Established digital media company hiring a scriptwriter for our true crime bodycam channel.

The channel: Raw bodycam with narration in between. Officer-involved shootings, DUIs, pursuits, arrests, and similar.

The role: Take the case we assign and write the full script: narration plus timestamps marking exactly which footage plays where. Open with a hook that holds, set up each clip with just enough context, build curiosity without spoiling what’s next, and get out of the way when the footage speaks for itself. Retention is the job.

What we hand you: Footage already sourced and reviewed, police reports, key moments with timestamps, and the direction for each video.

Graphic content: This is real footage, including shootings, violent arrests, and disturbing interrogations.

Must-haves:

• Flawless American English writing, natural and human, no “AI-slop” phrasing

• Proven bodycam or true crime scriptwriting, scripts that aired.

• Real grasp of YouTube retention: hooks, curiosity, pacing

• Comfortable writing to footage with precise timestamps, not just narration

• Narration that adds context, not just repeats what the viewer already sees on screen

• Strict accuracy, everything true to the source material

• Self-directed. We need scripts that land on the first draft, not after three rounds of feedback

• No agencies, no outsourcing, the person we hire is the person writing

Terms:

• $100-$400 per script, depending on the length and complexity of the case. Each case comes with its rate set upfront

• Starts per script. The right fit grows into a full-time, exclusive position

• Fully async, no timezone requirements

• NDA required

If you’re looking for one long-term client instead of juggling several, this is built for you.

To apply:

  • Direct links to published videos where you wrote the full script.
  • Your usual rate for a 20-30 minute bodycam script, Since the effort varies a lot by case, link one or two videos you wrote and what you charged for each, or briefly explain how you price based on workload.
