World Culture and Food Expert

marquesmind is building a correspondent network. One named person in every country, every US state and every Brazilian state. That is over 270 people, and we are at the beginning of it, so these are founding seats.

This is not a travel writing job. A travel writer visits. A correspondent lives there, and tells you how the place actually feels from the inside.

WHAT YOU WOULD DO

Two parts. You can do one or both, and most people are stronger at one.

1. Create content about the country you live in.

Short videos, written pieces and answers to real questions people ask about your country. Food, customs, work, daily life, what outsiders consistently get wrong. You are the source, not a researcher summarizing someone else.

2. Consult with people considering living there.

One to one calls with people who are thinking about moving to your country, or who have already decided and want to land well. What a neighborhood is really like. How people actually eat, work, greet each other, argue, celebrate. What nobody writes down.

WHAT THIS JOB IS NOT

Read this part twice before applying.

This is not immigration advice, legal advice, or visa consulting. You will never file paperwork for a client, advise on a visa, or tell someone what their legal status allows. When a client needs that, you say so plainly and we point them to a licensed professional. If you were hoping to sell visa guidance, this is not the role.

It is also not a relocation agency. You are not finding apartments, moving furniture, or negotiating leases. You are the person who tells the truth about the place.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You live in the country now, or you lived there long enough that you still know how it feels this year, not a decade ago.

You can describe your own culture to an outsider without flattening it into a postcard or a complaint. Both are easy. Honest is harder.

For the food side, you know how people in your country actually eat. Not the dishes that end up on tourist menus, the ones that end up on a Tuesday table.

You are comfortable on camera, or comfortable writing, or both. We will tell you which format suits what you are best at.

You answer messages. The network only works if the person in a country is reachable.

English is the working language between us. The content can be in your own language where that serves it better.

WHAT YOU GET

Your name and your face on the work. Correspondents are credited, because the whole premise is that a named human said this.

A seat that does not exist twice. One correspondent per country.

  • A say in how your state and country is represented, from the first piece onward.
  • Founding correspondents shape the lane rather than inherit it.
