Short-Form YouTube Scriptwriter / Creative Writer | Nico Grigg
We’re looking for a YouTube Shorts Ideator & Scriptwriter to develop highly engaging short-form video concepts from start to finish.
Your job is to take an idea from concept → storyline → script → shot list, so it is completely ready to film.
You will not be editing videos. This role is focused entirely on creative development and pre-production.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong understanding of YouTube Shorts and short-form storytelling
- Can consistently pitch original, high-potential video ideas
- Understands hooks, retention, escalation, twists, and satisfying payoffs
- Can turn a simple concept into a clear 30–60 second storyline
- Understands what is realistically filmable
- Studies successful short-form creators and understands why videos go viral
- Can work independently
Job Requirements
- Previous experience working on successful YouTube Shorts is required
- Must provide examples of Shorts you’ve personally ideated or scripted
- Include the view counts/results of your previous work
- Ability to write complete scripts with strong opening hooks
- Ability to create detailed, easy-to-follow shot lists
- Strong English writing and communication
- Able to consistently deliver multiple ready-to-film concepts
