Hey! We’re hiring a short-form scriptwriter at Opt Digital.

We’re an SEO agency that helps home service businesses (plumbers, roofers, HVAC, restoration, electricians) get more calls through Google Maps and AI search. Our audience is the business owners themselves, usually 40 to 60, running companies doing over $1M a year. All the content is fronted by Ben, our founder.

This is a full-time, high-volume role. We’re running around 70 scripts a week, so speed matters. You can use AI and templates to hit that pace, as long as the output holds up: accurate, sourced, and in plain language.

🎬 The role

You’ll write short-form scripts for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and handle basic Instagram uploading.

What you’ll do:

• Ideate topics and pitch them for approval before you script anything

• Research and write the hooks and the scripts

• Back every claim with a real source (Google’s own docs, Ahrefs, Semrush, and so on)

• Attach a reference reel to each script that shows the style and format you’re going for. Our editors handle the standard visuals, so we just need the overall feel, not shot-by-shot notes

• Keep our tracker spreadsheet updated (topic, format, angle, reference video, approval status, post date)

• Upload finished shorts to Instagram with captions. No hashtags, no cover images, no replying to comments. Just the upload

💰 Pay

• $1,500 a month, full-time

• Around 70 scripts a week

🗓️ Payment

• You invoice by the 28th or 29th of the month and get paid on the 5th

• Paid through PayPal or Payoneer. No crypto, no Wise
