Expert Commentary Writer – Credit and Finance – $15.00/hour
We’re looking for a strong English writer to help us draft expert commentary responses for journalists covering credit and personal finance.
You will receive the source material and the specific position or key points we want to communicate. Your job is to turn that information into a clear, useful, natural-sounding response in your own words.

For example: Type complex words in under 2 seconds. One typo = game over ☠
This is not a research-from-scratch position, and we are not looking for your personal opinions. We provide the information and direction—you make it sound clear, credible, and easy to understand.
The responses will be published under Jethro’s byline, so you will not receive public byline credit.
What You’ll Do:
– Write approximately 3–5 journalist responses per day
– Complete a hard minimum of 3 responses per day
– Draft responses of approximately 100–200 words each
– Turn provided source material into polished, publication-ready answers
– Explain financial concepts in a simple and engaging way
– Follow provided talking points and positioning
– Meet daily deadlines consistently
What We’re Looking For
– Excellent written English
– Natural, conversational writing style
– Ability to explain complex ideas simply
– Strong attention to detail
– Reliable and consistent with daily deadlines
– Comfortable following source material and specific direction
– Finance, credit, or personal finance experience is a plus, but not required
We can train you on the subject matter. We need you to already know how to write well.
IMPORTANT: No AI-Generated Writing
This is a strict requirement.
All applications, writing samples, and submitted responses must be written entirely by you.
We screen submissions with AI-detection tools before they are used. If a response fails the screening:
It will not count as a completed response.
You will need to rewrite it at no additional pay.
Repeated failures may result in termination of the contract.
AI-generated applications or writing samples are an automatic rejection.
Because the content is published under a real person’s name, we need authentic, human-written content.
Paid Trial:
Before moving forward with a longer-term contract, selected candidates will complete a paid trial of 3 real journalist responses.
This gives us a better way to evaluate your writing, ability to follow direction, and reliability than a resume alone.
