Role Description This is a short-term, project-based role for someone who can translate expertise in psychology, relationships, education, or youth programming into clear, practical guidance for 18–25-year-olds.
You will help us create the framework and develop the initial Q&A knowledge base that allows different moderators and experts to answer questions consistently, thoughtfully, and safely. This is a hands-on role: you’ll be writing, organizing, developing frameworks, and making judgment calls about how Greenlight should respond to sensitive questions.
This isn’t a traditional curriculum design role. Greenlight is a moderated digital platform where young adults can ask questions and have discussions, anonymously or with their peers. We’re looking for someone to help us build the content and moderation foundation behind it: how questions are understood, how responses are structured, what moderators can respond to, and when something needs to be escalated.
Who we’re looking for:
You might be a great fit if you have:
- A background in psychology, counseling, social work, education, public health, curriculum design, or a related field.
- Experience developing educational content, curriculum, resources, or programming for young people or young adults.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to make complex ideas clear, warm, practical, and non-clinical.
- Experience or strong familiarity with topics such as relationships, boundaries, consent, communication, emotional safety, or wellbeing.
- Strong judgment around sensitive content, safeguarding, and escalation.
- The ability to work independently, organize ambiguity, and turn broad ideas into clear frameworks and usable resources.
You do not need to be a therapist or clinician. We’re especially interested in people who can combine subject-matter knowledge with excellent communication and practical content design.
Logistics
- Engagement: Independent Contractor
- Commitment: Approximately 15-20 hours/week
- Duration: This is a 5-6 week engagement that may be extended based on mutual interest and fit
- Compensation: $30-40/hour, depending on experience
