CanonBoard is a world logic engine for screenwriters, showrunners, and writers’ rooms — the only tool that actively stress-tests your canon instead of just storing it. We’re not a writing app. We’re the layer that catches the plot hole before you’ve written 40,000 words around it.
The Role
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable stopping strangers on the street, camera rolling, and getting them to say something interesting. You’ll be the face of CanonBoard’s street interview content — short, sharp, unscripted segments that live on social and feed our creator content engine.
This isn’t influencer work. It’s not about you. It’s about getting real people to react to storytelling questions in a way that’s funny, revealing, or both.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct on-camera street interviews with the public, asking storytelling and worldbuilding prompts
- Work from a rotating question bank (with room to improvise when something’s working)
- Direct light framing and audio setup for mobile-shot content, or work alongside a shooter if provided
- Deliver raw footage on a consistent schedule for batch editing
- Read a room fast — know when to push a follow-up and when to move on
What We’re Looking For
- On-camera presence that’s natural, not performative — you need people to trust you enough to answer honestly in ten seconds
- Comfortable approaching strangers, handling rejection, and keeping energy consistent across a full shoot day
- Some experience with interview-style or man-on-the-street content preferred, but a strong reel showing raw camera comfort matters more than a resume line
- Based in [a city with reliable foot traffic — flag for Grey] or willing to travel for shoot days
- Bonus: an eye for what makes a clip shareable versus a clip that just sits there
