About The Role
This position is open to remote candidates across North America, with our offices located in New York City, San Francisco, and Seattle. We are seeking a mid-to-senior level copywriter to collaborate closely with an art director within our expanding in-house creative department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and crafting high-level content across various channels, including brand campaigns, product marketing, advertising, web content, social media, and event materials. Approximately 75% of your time will be dedicated to developing campaigns and big ideas in partnership with the art director, reporting directly to the Creative Director. The remaining 25% will involve independently managing copy-centric projects such as product descriptions, web copy, and editorial content. This role offers substantial creative ownership, requiring you to develop concepts, write scripts, and shape the brand voice without relying on templates or handoffs. You will be expected to execute ideas from conception through to completion, demonstrating both strategic thinking and hands-on craftsmanship. The position demands a proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach, with a focus on delivering compelling narratives that align with our innovative vision.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in copywriting, preferably with agency background
- A diverse portfolio showcasing conceptual ideas and strong craftsmanship across multiple formats
- Proficiency in writing both long-form and short-form content, including manifestos and social posts
- Experience working within a creative team, particularly in writer/art director pairings
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Curiosity about design, art direction, and visual storytelling, with a focus on ideas beyond words
- Experience in brand and product storytelling is a plus
- Strong communication and collaborative skills, with openness to feedback and iteration
Responsibilities
- Partner with the art director to develop creative concepts and campaigns from initial brief to final execution
- Write across various formats including advertising, branding, web content, product descriptions, video scripts, social media, email campaigns, and event materials
- Conceptualize campaign ideas that encompass systems and messaging strategies across multiple channels
- Help shape and refine the brand voice and messaging to ensure consistency and impact
- Contribute to the creation of creative presentations and pitch decks for internal and external stakeholders
- Work independently on copy-driven projects such as website content, product copy, and editorial pieces
- Engage in constructive feedback exchanges to improve creative work through iteration
- Stay informed about industry trends, design, and visual storytelling to enhance creative output
