My best-performing videos are investigative and story-driven, so this role is as much about structuring a compelling argument as it is about clean writing.
Ideal Candidate
You understand why people click and why they stay. You can take dense or technical material and make it gripping for a general audience while still effectively communicating ideas that everyone can understand. You can structure a 10–20 minute video so retention holds. You can fully adapt to the channel’s tone. You’re genuinely interested in health, nutrition, and the kind of investigative angles that make a viewer say “I had no idea.”
Job Requirements
- Proven experience writing long-form YouTube scripts (please include links to videos you scripted, ideally with view counts or retention data)
- Strong grasp of YouTube retention mechanics: hooks, open loops, pacing, and payoff structure
- Ability to research a topic independently and synthesize sources into a coherent narrative
- Excellent written English
- Comfortable taking direction and iterating on feedback quickly
- Reliable turnaround and clear communication
