Content Strategist
You love a little shock: you’re down for a little awe. You’re ready to write about and strategize the unique and often shocking operations of the criminal underground on the dark web. Our team is stacked with cybersecurity, Russian-speaking, fraud combatants who go head-to-head with threat actors every day. We want to tell their stories.
We’re regularly uncovering new scam techniques and playbooks and need a content strategist to help us capture and rethink these stories for different audiences and mediums. We’re looking for a builder ready to transform complex fraud and cybercrime intelligence into the authoritative assets that fuel our demand generation engine. Copywriting is part of the role, but you’ll go well beyond helping build and define our brand and voice.
Don’t judge us by our current digital presence; we’ve grown successfully with what you see. Now we’re actively investing in our brand and growing our marketing team, and this role is a critical hire.
roles and responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Authoritative Voice Ownership: Give our brand personality; let’s be a little edgy. Help us build and steward the balance of authoritative educational insights for risk leaders and eye-popping headlines that stop the scroll. You’ll act as the primary steward of the company’s voice, ensuring consistency, authority, and resonance across all channels.
- Dark Web Intelligence Transformation: True crime? We’ve got it in spades. Put your noisy journalist hat on and partner with our best-in-class intelligence team to transform proprietary fraud research into high-impact, educational content. You will design and execute tests that translate complex findings into high-visibility formats, including white papers, case studies, and webinars.
- Demand Engine Fuel: Convert the eyeballs. Be the primary content builder fueling the marketing engine, focused particularly on engagement. You’ll fuel the marketing engine by creating and iterating on social media content, high-conversion website copy, blog posts, and multi-touch campaign emails working hand-in-hand with our demand generation specialist.
- Discovery Prowess: Bring us the data to help us find our sweet spot. Use insights from SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) to shape core messaging and drive discoverability. Use these tools (currently using Semrush) to gather intelligence on our top-of-funnel impact and messaging performance.
- Full-Funnel Campaign Partnership: Partner closely with the Demand Gen Specialist to operationalize all content into measurable, multi-touch campaigns designed to intrigue and educate fraud and risk leaders of financial institutions.
required qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Domain Prowess: 3+ years creating B2B content for SaaS or data products (fraud or cybersecurity solutions preferred) and a genuine enthusiasm for the mission of combating cybercrime and fraud.
- Human+AI Writing Mastery: Excellent writing skills that are complemented and accelerated by AI. Ability to identify preferred tools and map AI-integration frameworks for content creation.
- Content Authority: Deep understanding of performance across formats (reports, case studies, webinars, blogs) and proven experience acting as the primary steward of a company’s brand voice.
- Discovery & Intelligence: Expertise in SEO / GEO / AEO and leveraging these insights for positioning. Proven experience using performance intelligence tools (e.g., Semrush) to inform content strategy.
- Builder & Experimentation: Highly experiment-driven, comfortable iterating fast from imperfect inputs, and passionate about transforming complex intelligence into high-impact, educational assets.
- Campaign Alignment: Exceptional ability to communicate process, pacing, and content performance metrics clearly, confidently, and constructively, especially when partnering with sales and demand generation stakeholders.
Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits package. Salary will be determined based on experience, skills and geographic location.

About Q6 Cyber
Q6 Cyber was founded in 2016 to address a growing gap in how financial institutions detect and prevent fraud and cybercrime. As the dark web matured into a sophisticated marketplace for stolen data and financial crime activity, the founding team saw that financial institutions lacked visibility into where attacks were being planned and enabled. Q6 was built on the belief that monitoring threat actors and underground ecosystems directly would allow institutions to act earlier, reducing losses before fraud ever reaches customers or systems. The company’s mission has remained focused on proactive intelligence that leads to real prevention, not just detection.
Q6 Cyber delivers a threat intelligence platform focused on monitoring the digital underground, including the dark web and other covert online channels where cybercriminals operate. The platform identifies early indicators of fraud, compromised data, and emerging attack methods, allowing customers to intervene before incidents occur. Unlike traditional security tools that surface alerts after an attack is underway, Q6 emphasizes actionable intelligence that fraud and security teams can operationalize quickly. Its solutions are designed primarily for banks, credit unions, and financial services organizations that need to protect assets, customers, and brand trust.
Growth Stage & Market Differentiation
Both profitable and private equity-backed, Q6 has established strong credibility in a market that highly values proactive fraud prevention. They have helped financial institutions identify and mitigate hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud losses, demonstrating clear and substantial ROI.
It serves a broad range of customers, from smaller financial institutions to large global banks, and operates in a market that remains underpenetrated, as many institutions have not fully adopted dark-web intelligence as part of their security stack.
In August 2025, Q6 Cyber received a strategic growth investment from Charlesbank Capital Partners. The funding is intended to support expansion of the product portfolio, go-to-market scale, geographic growth, and potential acquisitions. This is an exciting time to join the company due to the growth trajectory and aspirations, and associated equity upside.
Rooted in Entrepreneurialism
Q6 consists of a lean, mission-driven team working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Q6 embodies the following practices:
- Accountability in one’s work
- Meritocracy and a flat organization
- Willingness to take on any challenge and dig into any project
- Building solutions with a real, tangible impact
