SEO Digital Marketing Specialist – $25.00-$30.00/hour
Jody Koch is a highly experienced residential Realtor with Red Rock Real Estate, serving buyers and sellers across Washington County, Salt Lake County, Utah County, and Davis County for over 23 years. We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated Local SEO Specialist to help grow Jody’s digital presence, increase visibility in AI-powered search results, and position her as the go-to Realtor in Southern Utah and across the Wasatch Front.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely understands local SEO, content strategy, and what it takes to get a real estate professional found online — including by AI tools like ChatGPT, Google’s AI Overview, and Gemini.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Google Business Profile
- Manage and optimize Jody’s Google Business Profile
- Post weekly updates, market reports, and listing highlights
- Monitor and respond to reviews professionally and promptly
- Keep all business information current and consistent
Local SEO & GEO Strategy
- Build and maintain consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) citations across all major directories — Zillow, Realtor.com, LinkedIn, Facebook, and more
- Implement Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to ensure Jody appears in AI-powered search recommendations
- Research and target locally relevant, long-tail real estate keywords specific to St. George, Washington County, Salt Lake City, and surrounding Utah markets
Content Creation & Management
- Write and publish monthly St. George and Wasatch Front real estate market reports
- Create neighborhood guides for key communities in Washington County and Salt Lake County
- Develop Q&A-style blog posts targeting questions real buyers and sellers are searching for
- Optimize all content for both traditional Google search and AI search engines
Directory & Authority Building
- Submit Jody’s profile to top real estate directories including HomeLight, Expertise.com, and RateMyAgent
- Pursue local backlink opportunities including the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce, local news outlets, and community organizations
- Identify and pitch guest article opportunities on local and regional platforms
Reporting & Strategy
- Provide a clear weekly report showing keyword rankings, website traffic, Google Business Profile views, and review growth
- Make strategic recommendations based on data — not guesswork
- Stay current on local SEO best practices and AI search trends
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in local SEO — preferably with real estate clients or small business professionals
- Solid understanding of Google Business Profile optimization
- Familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and how AI tools recommend local businesses
- Experience with keyword research tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, or Ubersuggest
- Strong writing ability — you’ll be creating content that sounds professional, local, and authentic
- Knowledge of real estate platforms including Zillow, Realtor.com, and MLS systems is a plus
- Self-directed, organized, and able to work independently with minimal hand-holding
- Utah market knowledge strongly preferred
What Success Looks Like in 6 Months
- Jody appears in the top 3 Google Maps results for key St. George real estate searches
- AI tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overview recommend Jody when asked about St. George or Washington County Realtors
- Google Business Profile views and website traffic are measurably increasing month over month
- A library of neighborhood guides, market reports, and Q&A blog posts is live and indexed
- Review count is growing consistently with a strategy in place for ongoing collection
Compensation
Negotiable based on experience and scope of work. Open to hourly, monthly retainer, or project-based arrangements. Please include your rate expectations when you reach out.
