Script Consultant, Particularly For Intros on Long Form | Bringing Comedy Movies Back
I’m looking for someone to review the intro portions of my script, along with the first line of the body (so just the transition from intro to body; essentially the first 30 seconds of the video.)
I make talking head/video essays on movies. They’re mainly about comedy movies and icons from the 2000s, but occasionally are video essays about specific happenings/opinions/reviews. Most of my videos are in the 20-25 minute range.
I’m looking for two passes – both with under 24 hour turnarounds:
1) I’ll send you the first draft of my intro and I’m looking for feedback on how to improve it (without specifically writing out a suggested intro)
2) You to review my revised intro and give feedback + a suggested rewrite (which I’ll use as a guide to rewrite my intro.
Depending on results and your experience, I’m open to making this a full script consultation (at a much higher rate, obviously) position instead of just intro.
I will share analytics with you from my channel so you can see what’s worked and what hasn’t.
Ideal Candidate
Have extensive experience writing long form intros that consistently have 80%+ 30 second retention.
I have several intros that have performed in the 77-80% 30 second retention range. I want 80% to be my floor.
Ideally you will have experience working with at least one of video essay, talking head, or commentary channels.
If you’re looking to get an expanded role of being full script consultant and not just intro, I’m looking for someone who has consistently written 50%+ AVD scripts as I’m currently regularly doing anywhere from low 40s-low 50s percentage watched.
