About The Role We are seeking a skilled and proactive copywriter to join our team at thyssenkrupp Materials North America. Reporting directly to the Communications Manager, this role is pivotal in developing high-quality, engaging content that supports our marketing and corporate communication objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to independently lead content development initiatives, conduct interviews with subject matter experts, and translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences and formats.
This position involves creating a variety of content types, including website copy, blog articles, white papers, case studies, social media posts, and internal communications. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop content strategies aligned with business goals and target audience needs. They will also conduct research on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to ensure content relevance and competitiveness. The role requires a strategic mindset to identify new content opportunities and formats that enhance brand visibility and engagement, while maintaining consistency with brand guidelines and tone.
In addition to external marketing responsibilities, the role includes developing engaging internal communications such as leadership messages, organizational updates, and employee engagement content. The candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels is essential to success in this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or related roles.
- Proven experience in creating content for both external marketing and internal communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Strong strategic thinking skills related to content development, including idea generation and format innovation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital marketing tools is preferred.
