Creative Strategist (paid social + creative) – From $80,000 a year
At Yumwoof, we’re a high-growth natural dog food brand on the verge of a massive breakout—think Liquid Death, but for the obsessive dog parents who treat their pups like children and will do anything to protect their health.
As Creative Strategist, 80% of your role is concepting, directing, and producing distinctive Meta ads that feel unlike anything else in the category. The remaining 20% focuses on other channels and organic social. You’ll deeply analyze performance data to identify what’s working and shape future creative strategy.

What You’ll Do
- You’re the performance-driven creative heart of Yumwoof’s brand, developing a creative vision and leading its direction hands-on.
- Own Yumwoof’s creative strategy and execution across paid social (primarily Meta Ads), TikTok, YouTube, CTV, OOH, print media, and in-store retail advertising
- Analyze Meta in-platform data (thumbstop rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, CAC) and Triple Whale / Atria to identify winners and make decisions
- Build rapid creative testing loops for paid ads—turn performance insights into new concepts, iterate weekly, and systematically improve results
- Own Yumwoof’s creative strategy and execution across all organic social media.
- Create new ideas and messages that have the potential to resonate with audiences and make our brand stand out.
- Lead the direction of Meta Ads campaigns from start to finish—mostly 6-30 second vertical videos that make people laugh, cry, or proudly proclaim “I need to buy that.”
- Direct all video, photo, motion, UGC, and campaign creative.
- Transform Yumwoof’s brand voice into an unforgettable brand world, and implement that brand storytelling across all customer touchpoints.
- Translate strategy, insight, and data into breakthrough creative concepts.
- Manage designers, freelancers, agencies, and production partners.
You’re Our Person If You Have
- 3+ years experience in creative strategy/direction for DTC brands (in-house or agency)
- 2+ years experience in digital media production (e.g., VICE, BuzzFeed, or similar)
- Built and scaled a Meta Ads creative engine that consistently outperforms industry benchmarks.
- Deep understanding of Meta Ads metrics and how creative drives CTR, CVR, CAC, and blended performance
- Hands-on experience using Triple Whale, Atria, or similar analytics platforms to diagnose why ads win or fail
- Created content that’s gone viral organically (100k–millions of views) while also knowing how to make the paid version convert.
- Experience at a fast-moving CPG or DTC brand where creative directly moved the revenue needle.
- Deep familiarity with Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Shopify, YouTube, and AI tools that speed up production.
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and CapCut is a strong plus.
- You’re a good balance of left brain and right brain.
- Extra treats if you have experience with PR and/or partnerships.
