Job Title: Proposal Copy Editor (RFP)
Location: 100% Remote (Need to work EST/CST hours)
Job Type: 9 months contract (Possibility of extension)
Job Description:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Copy Editor to support our Request for Proposal (RFP) team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will provide expert editorial review, proofreading, and copy editing to ensure proposal documents are clear, accurate, and aligned with company branding standards.
- You will collaborate closely with proposal managers, subject matter experts, and sales teams to produce high-quality, client-ready RFP responses.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed editorial review and copy editing for large and complex proposal documents.
- Review content for grammar, syntax, punctuation, clarity, and consistency.
- Edit and refine content created by subject matter experts to ensure polished, professional deliverables.
- Ensure all proposal materials comply with corporate branding guidelines, tone, and style standards.
- Collaborate with RFP proposal managers and sales teams to meet proposal deadlines.
- Review and enhance existing proposal materials to improve response effectiveness.
- Support editing of RFP graphics and other proposal-related deliverables as needed.
- Track editorial progress and communicate workflow updates to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive business information.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong editing, proofreading, and writing skills, particularly for large or complex documents.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience applying and enforcing corporate branding and style guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with RFP responses, proposal development, or bid management.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project tracking tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
