Temporary News Writer

Responsibilities
- Pitch and write timely stories on culture, entertainment, fashion-adjacent news, and emerging trends
- Deliver smart, nuanced analysis on cultural moments shaping the luxury space
- Cover red carpets, celebrity style, art openings, industry shifts, and major pop culture events
- Produce short-form news hits as well as longer cultural commentary pieces
- Source and interview talent, industry insiders, and experts as needed
- Write with SEO awareness while maintaining Bazaar’s elevated editorial voice
- File clean copy on deadline and collaborate with editors on revisions
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the luxury fashion ecosystem and its cultural intersections
- Ability to identify and contextualize trends before they peak
- Confident voice that balances authority with accessibility
- Demonstrated experience writing for a national digital publication
- Comfortable working on tight deadlines and quick turnarounds
- Familiarity with CMS publishing systems and SEO best practices
The base salary for this role is $45/hr. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
