Role Overview

We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Content Editor to keep MUSAY’s events and cultural listings up to date inside our Sanity.io content management system (CMS). This role is operational not marketing.

What MUSAY’s users & clients see is the content you publish which means you play a critical role in building and maintaining visual polish, consistency and brand trust.

This is a precision-focused, operational role: structured work, clear workflows, and a high standard of accuracy. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys organization, clean data, and knowing what’s happening across the cultural landscape.

If you love making systems run flawlessly, are obsessed with the finer details, and want to actively contribute ideas to improve processes you’ll thrive in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update event entries in MUSAY’s Content Management System (CMS) and Venue database with next business day turnaround
  • Ensure accuracy across dates, times, descriptions, and metadata
  • Make sure all images look beautiful and appealing – edit as required via cropping, re-sizing, light adjustments, etc.
  • Maintain image consistency across all platforms
  • Other venue / event content updates as
  • Take pride in your work and double check it to make sure it’s something you would want to see
  • Be proactive if any issues arise – document patterns
  • Offer process improvement ideas if you think they would benefit you and the company

You are Not Responsible for:

  • Marketing or Social Media
  • Creative Strategy or Brand Development
  • Select content for the App unless directed otherwise

Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail; nothing slips past you.
  • Strong discipline and proven track record of content-entry accuracy.
  • Basic image-editing skills (Canva, Adobe, Pixlr, Figma, etc.).
  • Effective communicator; proactively communicate bottlenecks/challenges.
  • Comfortable with structured, checklist-driven work.
  • Take pride in delivering accurate work on time
  • Bonus: Interest in helping people connect to others and the world off their phones so they can discover mind blowing experiences in unexpected places: museums, zoos, performing arts centers, science centers, aquariums and more!

Time Commitment & Compensation

$400 Retainer /Mos.

  • 5-10 hrs. week based on volume of events
  • 24 business hour turnaround
  • Event notifications via CMS & Slack
  • Monthly invoicing
  • Up to 100 events / mos. included

For every additional 50 events an additional $200 will be paid. If fewer than 50 events, the amount paid will be at the same proportional rate. For example, if there are 25 additional events then payment will be an incremental $125.
