Literature Specialist – $22 – $27 an hour

About the Role
As a Literature Specialist, you will be responsible for curating accurate, culturally relevant multilingual children’s book collections for schools and libraries. This is a project-based role for someone who works independently, exercises sound judgment, and delivers clean, organized curation lists ready for use.
You’ll collaborate with our internal team to ensure selections align with project goals and are viable for fulfillment.
What You’ll Do
- Curate multilingual children’s book collections based on project scope, grade levels, and district goals
- Select titles aligned to specific themes, content standards, or educator requests
- Avoid duplication and flag out-of-stock titles
- Align selections to available inventory
- Deliver clear, well-organized spreadsheets with high accuracy
What We’re Looking For
- Strong judgment and attention to detail
- Familiarity with children’s literature and school or library needs
- Cultural fluency and a commitment to authentic representation
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Clear, professional communication
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish; openness to engaging with additional languages
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Teaching, curriculum, or library experience
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse student populations
This is a 1099 contractor position. Reliable internet access and strong time-management skills are required.
