Screenwriter for an RPG Maker-style Animated Victorian Comedy
Compensation:
Total $700 USD, paid via PayPal in three milestones:
• $150 — Outline
• $250 — First Draft
• $300 — Final Draft
I’m looking for an experienced screenwriter to co-develop a 20-30 minute period comedy script based on a set of character notes, themes and reference material.
The story is a single-location, dialogue-driven Victorian comedy set during a cholera ‘lockdown’, written in the spirit of a bottle episode with emphasis on verbal wit, social friction, and escalating tension.
Important production constraint:
The final piece will be presented in a pixel-art, top-down RPG-Maker-style format (four-directional sprites, minimal animation, dialogue boxes with character portraits).
This limits physical action, so the script must rely on strong dialogue and clear staging rather than subtle expressions or visual gags.
Project type:
A non-commercial, hobbyist production to be released on YouTube.
You will receive full writing credit, a written recommendation and may freely include the script in your portfolio upon completion.
Portfolio I’m looking for:
• Dialogue-heavy writing in a historical or stylized tone
• Dry humor, social satire, verbal wit or class-based comedy
• Experience with drawing-room pieces or bottle episodes
