Department Description
The Creative Content Department creates new copy that other Studio 3 Departments use in clients’ deliverables. Creative Content writes copy that promotes clients’ products and services, ensuring the content is personalized, accurate, well-written, and effective.
Job Description
Content Writers create the words and ideas that bring client campaigns and websites to life. Studio 3 relies on Content Writers to develop original copy that tells clients’ stories, executes their marketing strategy, and ultimately grows clients’ businesses.
The Content Writer performs the following tasks:
- Creates high-quality, effective, and original copy for client websites.
- Edits and curates copy to ensure it is concise, understandable, persuasive, and compelling.
- Reviews marketing materials about clients to create accurate, informed copy that effectively tells clients’ stories.
- Integrates keywords into copy to ensure search engine optimization (SEO), while balancing a natural tone with strategic and technical demands.
- Develops a consistent brand voice for each brand being promoted.
- Proofreads written products to ensure error-free copy is delivered to clients.
- Runs assignments and delivers products through the Content Team’s software (e.g., Dato).
Qualifications
- Mastery of writing skills, with ability to create clear, persuasive, and original copy about subjects that are not necessarily familiar.
- Excellent teamwork ability and proven ability to coordinate with multiple teams.
- Proven experience in market research, with an understanding of basic marketing and advertising principles.
- Proven ability to be detail oriented and work on large and complex assignments.
- Proven ability to deliver on-time when working under deadlines.
- Understanding of basic search engine optimization (SEO) principles to optimize copy for search engines.
- Familiarity with User Experience (UX) principles, knowing how copy contributes to a seamless user experience on websites and digital platforms.
- 2+ years experience producing copy for marketing, advertising, or public relations.
