Growth & Monetization Specialist – Gaming Niche
Role Overview:
This is a part-time, contract-to-hire role starting at 20–25 hours/week with the potential to go full-time when revenue on the site grows. You’ll own our Pinterest SEO, email list growth, and affiliate monetization strategy, reddit posting, and any other strategy you see fit — taking our existing content and making it perform at a much higher level.
You won’t just bring ideas — you’ll implement, test, and report on real results that grow both traffic and revenue.
Responsibilities:
Pinterest/Reddit SEO & Growth
Create, schedule, and optimize 10–15 new pins/reddit responses week (static, carousel, and video pins)
Build seasonal boards and content calendars (e.g., “Sims 4 Fall CC,” “Holiday Mod Packs”)
Test promoted pins for high-RPM content
Email List Building & Engagement
Create lead magnets and opt-ins (e.g., “50 Must-Have Sims Mods Starter Pack”)
Build automated welcome & nurture sequences in ConvertKit/Mailchimp (or similar)
Drive traffic from email campaigns back to the site and to revenue-generating offers
Affiliate Optimization
Audit top 50 posts for affiliate opportunities beyond Amazon (EA/Origin, gaming gear, marketplaces)
Add affiliate placements and CTAs that increase clicks and EPC
Track performance and report ROI
Reporting & Strategy
Provide monthly analytics on traffic growth, RPM improvements, affiliate conversions, and email subscriber gains
Suggest and execute A/B tests for titles, layouts, and call-to-actions
Qualifications:
Proven success managing Pinterest accounts that drive significant traffic (portfolio or examples required)
Experience building and growing email lists of 10K+ subscribers
Strong understanding of affiliate marketing — how to select offers, place them, and measure performance
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Mediavine (or similar ad networks), and Canva/Photoshop
Excellent copywriting skills for click-worthy pins, email subject lines, and calls-to-action
Passion for gaming, The Sims, or modding communities is a huge plus
Compensation:
$25–$35/hour depending on experience (approx. $2.5K/month to start)
Contract-to-hire with opportunity for full-time role as revenue grows
