[Hiring] Writer/Co-writer for short film(s) – $40/hr + Royalties

I’m looking to hire a writer to co-write/write a few short films that I plan on fully producing and directing! I’m a recent UCLA grad who’s thirsty to create portfolio/reel work and I’d love to collaborate with other creatives on actually making something come to life; I’m incredibly motivated, have got a good amount of time and resources on my hands, and have the camera/internet savvy/marketing/editing skills to make it look really good and possibly take off. For me – this is happening, 100% and I’m doin’ it! I have some written short scripts and solid loglined ideas but I also I just want to collaborate with a cool writer and create unique, within budget scope, filmable-within-reasonable space stories where we both contribute and critique it and see it through all the way, as equals!

If you know the show High Maintenance, Atlanta, Easy, Girls, then you know these are the types of stories I want to tell: human centric, grounded in reality, comedy in the everyday, subversive interactions. If you can capture the everyday in dialogue, that’d be huge!

Should have deep experience with non-fiction / creative fiction. I would love to see some of what you’ve written and you should come ready to talk about it over voice with some original ideas, especially dialogue-driven short format!

We will be having a lot of back and forth over voice, so get ready to chat it out! Hourly compensation is around $40/hr+! And of course – whatever comes of it, you will be given 100% of the writing credit and any subsequent royalties!
