We are looking for a Contract Content Editor to assist with our editorial needs specifically tailored for the U.S. market. This role involves editing and refining content to ensure it meets our standards for engagement and relevance. The ideal candidate will have a nuanced understanding of American culture and media, with the ability to efficiently manage their workload on a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Content Review and Editing: Edit and refine articles, reports, and other content to align with the preferences and sensibilities of U.S. audiences. Ensure all content is clear, compelling, and grammatically correct.
  • Cultural Alignment: Adapt content to resonate with American cultural and social nuances. Incorporate current trends and idiomatic language appropriate for the U.S. market.
  • Quality Control: Uphold the company’s high editorial standards. Ensure all content is free from errors and aligns with internal guidelines and external compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration and Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to freelance writers and internal teams to help improve the quality of submissions. Work closely with the editorial and marketing teams to align content with strategic goals.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor content performance and provide reports on engagement metrics to help guide future content strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in content editing, preferably with a focus on the U.S. market.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with a good understanding of American English.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SEO, content management systems, and basic analytics tools.
  • ·Excellent organizational and communication skills.
