Job Description

A K-12 writer creates leveled stories, passages, and other unique works for English language learners (ELL). This includes questions and answer choices that align with the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS). A K-12 writer also works collaboratively with other remote team members and is required to use technology as the platform for submitting content. A K-12 writer must be able to work 30 to 40 hours a week as a contractor within an eight-to-five CST time frame.  

Requirements

• Licensed educator
• Degree in education, English, and/or ESL preferred
• K-12 ESL certified
• Familiar with TELPAS
• Familiar with Texas TEKS and ELPS
• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent technology skills and familiarity with Google Suite
