Technical Content Writer, Atlas – $45 – $50 an hour

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, updating, and migrating documentation related to ITSM processes and configurations as part of our transition from a legacy Service Manager platform to the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ITSM practices, hands-on experience with ServiceNow, and exceptional writing skills to produce clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.

Content Migration: Lead the migration of documentation content from the legacy Service Manager platform to the ServiceNow platform, ensuring accuracy and consistency in the transferred information.

Documentation Creation: Develop comprehensive documentation for ServiceNow configurations, processes, and best practices. This includes user guides, technical manuals, and process flow diagrams.

Content Analysis: Review and analyze existing documentation and ITSM processes to identify gaps, redundancies, and areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with ITSM teams, ServiceNow administrators, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, validate information, and ensure the documentation meets user needs.

Technical Writing: Produce high-quality, easy-to-understand documentation for various audiences, including end-users, IT support staff, and management.

Version Control: Maintain version control of documentation to keep records up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow implementations and updates.

Training Materials: Develop training materials and user manuals to facilitate the onboarding process for users transitioning to the new ServiceNow platform.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all documentation is thoroughly reviewed and tested to meet company standards and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in ITSM Servicenow
Strong writing skills and experience in technical documentation
Experience with content migration from legacy systems to ServiceNow.
Knowledge of documentation tools and software such as Confluence, Microsoft Word, or similar.
Experience in content management; prior experience is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Experience working with management-level executives is an advantage.
