Freelance Asset Management Editorial Assistant

Our financial services client based in the DC area is looking for a freelance, part-time editorial assistant for 15 hours a week. You will work directly with the Senior Manager to fact-check, refresh previously written content, create employee BIOs, and other additional tasks as assigned.

This is a long-term W2 contract opportunity that has the ability to be fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Working alongside the senior editor to plan, implement, and manage several initiatives
• Meet with writers and SME’s to discuss the editorial and publication process
• Proofreading manuscripts to identify any grammatical and spelling errors
• Research facts and new features to maintain accuracy
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure a smooth publication schedule

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or a related field
• Experience in asset management is a must
• Proven work experience in a similar role
• Strong command of the English language; AP Style
• In-depth knowledge of the publication process and best practices
• A team player with exceptional communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
