Position SummaryThe Senior Associate, Content Strategist, and Writer is responsible for supporting Huron’s healthcare and enterprise business strategy with a particular focus on advancing Huron’s business objectives with written content. The writer will be responsible for creating compelling narratives across a variety of content vehicles, including thought leadership, case studies, videos, infographics, e-books, email, advertisements, and more. Building strong cross-functional relationships across marketing and the business is critical to the success of this role; the writer works with these functions to identify and ideate on compelling storylines and align these elements to Huron’s global brand strategy and business goals.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Works across functions and levels – from individual contributors to key executives – to ensure comprehensive inputs for long- and short-form content

Educates and aligns relevant teams on audience-centric content best practices as well as the corporate brand and content governance

Conducts keyword research and contributes to the integration of keyword strategy into overall content planning

Reviews engagement metrics to make data-driven recommendations for content optimization

Identifies and recommends opportunities for content reuse

Performs strategic mapping of content to audience journeys and ongoing journey gap analysis of the content inventory and its ability to support marketing programs and campaigns

Understands and leverages industry trends and the corporate brand to ensure content quality and relevance

Provides operational support for content creation, engaging cross-functional participants, and managing workflow deadlines

Writes and edits a mix of assets including, but not limited to, thought leadership articles, infographics, e-books, social content, and email copy, in support of the content plan and in the context of messaging, brand, and editorial guidelines

Proofreads and QAs all materials and algins to Huron’s style guide and brand voice

Make recommendations on content vehicle and channels to reach intended audience and achieve desired outcomes

To succeed, this individual must network effectively across the organization to build alignment and deliver the right combination of program content; the team member must work as an effective, customer-focused collaborator.

Ability to translate general market themes and direction into focused topics with a point of view

Ability to handle complex review processes and incorporate marketing and subject matter expert feedback

Firm understanding of SEO keywords and proficiency with tools such as SEMRush and Google Analytics

Experience working with AI technologies or a strong interest in the technology

Ability to conduct market trend research and translate into content opportunities

Established interview skills

Solid understanding of marketing disciplines and functions

Strong business acumen

Understanding of key digital and business metrics

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing or Communications strongly preferred

A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in writing B2B marketing content; experience writing about technology or digital concepts a plus

Excellent writing and editing skills including strong attention to detail

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Resourcefulness and strong research skills

Healthcare industry knowledge a plus
